William Henry Yates Sr., 68, of 2443 NC HWY 55 W., Cove City, died Friday, June 16, 2017 at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern.

Funeral service will be held 12 noon Friday, June 23, 2017 at St. John A.M.E. Zion Church, “Turkey Quarter.”

Burial will follow in the Gatlin-Yates Family Cemetery.

Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
