Thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Washington (noon) Rotary Club, this year the club awarded four Rotary Club high school scholarships. Three of the four recipients attended Monday’s lunch meeting on June 19 and received their scholarship certificates. Pictured from left to right: Alex Amend, of Beaufort County Early College High School, will attend North Carolina State University, majoring in engineering; Kelsi Waters, of Washington High School, and Erica Modlin, of BCECHS, will attend East Carolina University and major in nursing. Absent from Monday’s lunch meeting was the fourth recipient, Dahlton O’Neal, of Southside High School. Dahlton will also attend ECU in the field of engineering. Congratulations to all and good luck.
