Beaufort County Post 15 edged Perquimans, 4-3 in eight innings, on Wednesday night. The game was scoreless until the Marlins scored twice in the top of the fifth. It remained that way until Perquimans knotted the game in the bottom of the seventh, but Beaufort County came back with another pair of runs in the top of the following frame. Ryan Kolibabek was hit by a pitch, stole second and moved to third on a sacrifice fly by Eli Maxey. He scored the go-ahead run on a fielder’s choice. Two errors and a single from Jeremiah Moore gave the Marlins the game-winning run. Will Crisp led the offense with two hits. Zach Woolard picked up the win on the mound. Post 15 returns to action Friday at home against Edenton.
