The June 11 meeting was called to order by Obed Brabble at 7 p.m.

Members in attendance were Harold and Carolyn Tyson, Buddy and Lynda Harris, Carlton and Ruby Manning, Bryan and Phyllis Weatherington, Gail Vickers, Jeff Edwards, Dan Wallace and Obed Brabble. Three guests were in attendance: Miranda Connelly, Camden Tyson and Karen Tyson.

The song “America” was led by Carolyn Tyson and sung by members. The invocation was given by Buddy Harris.

Obed Brabble presented the check for a scholarship to Miranda Connelly.

A meal was provided by the club of fried chicken, biscuits, green beans, macaroni and  cheese, drinks and sweets. The July meal will be prepare by Bryan and Phyllis Weatherington.

The minutes from the May 9 meeting were read by Obed Brabble. A motion was made to accept by Buddy Harris and seconded by Carlton Manning.

There was no old business.

New business: Thomas Bland, member of the community, will be having a liver transplant shortly. A motion was made by Buddy Harris and seconded by Carlton Manning of a donation of $500. Members voted to approve the donation.

A motion to adjourn was made by Jeff Edwards and seconded by Buddy Harris.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by members, and we were then dismissed by Obed Brabble at 8 p.m.
