Mr. Lee Frank Woolard, age 81, a resident of Washington, died Saturday, July 8, 2017 at his home.

To honor Mr. Woolard’s wishes and instructions, no services or visitation will be held.

Mr. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on August 22, 1935, son of the late Edward “Eddie” Woolard and the late Deane Woolard. He married the former Rosetta Pollard and shared 63 years with her before her death on October 29, 2016.

Mr. Woolard was a retired electrician having worked at Stanadyne of Washington.

Survivors include two daughters: Cathy L. Webster of Bath and Sandy L. Thompson of Bat Cave, NC; a son: James “Jimmy” H. Woolard of Washington; five grandchildren: Brandon Welch (Elizabeth) of Bath, Francis Welch (Staci) of Blounts Creek, Caleb M. Woolard of Greenville, Daniel H. Wood (Kristin) of Norfolk, VA and Woody Sheppard of Washington; and six great-grandchildren: Haley N. Welch and Callie A. Welch, both of Bath, Keegan J. Welch and Finley A. Welch, both of Blounts Creek, Joshua Wood and Megan Wood, both of Norfolk.

Mr. Woolard was predeceased along with his parents and wife by three brothers: Pete, Jack and Billy “Doodle Bug” Woolard.
