From First Bank

First Bank is pleased to announce Chris Whitehead has been promoted to vice president and business development officer of First Bank’s branch located at 639 W. 15th St., Washington.

Whitehead, who has six years of banking experience, has been with First Bank for three years, most recently as an assistant vice president and credit analyst.

“We are thrilled that Chris has agreed to further his career with First Bank in Washington,” said Area Executive and Senior Vice President William Taylor. “His background as an experienced credit analyst for First Bank provides him an invaluable skill set to be a highly successful business development officer. His desire and willingness to make Washington his home and be interwoven personally here is indicative of his commitment to our wonderful community.”

Whitehead, originally from Wilmington, is an alumnus of East Carolina University, and a 2016 graduate of the North Carolina School of Banking. He is member of the Beaufort County Committee of 100, Washington Yacht & Country Club and member/treasurer of Washington (noon) Rotary. He recently married the former Emily Sexton, who will transfer from a skilled nursing position with Vidant Regional Health in Greenville to Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington. The couple has made their home in Washington.
