Safety director Wayne Brackin, of Tideland Electric Membership Corp., taught students at the Engelhard library about safety and electricity on Tuesday. Students also saw a high-voltage safety demonstration, which ended with an exploding hotdog. Brackin traveled to Bath last week for a similar presentation, and to Ocracoke and Belhaven this week, as well.
