If I can ever be of assistance

Recently, while on vacation, I fell and broke my arm, which required surgery. Once released from the hospital, on the advice of my orthopedic surgeon, I was told not to drive for the next three weeks. This handicap will prevent me from fulfilling my obligations as director of development for the Washington Harbor District Alliance. It’s only fair to the Washington Harbor District Alliance that I tender my resignation at this time. This was a decision that did not come without much soul searching, but it is in the best interest of all involved.
Eighteen months ago, the WHDA gave me the opportunity to work and try to benefit my hometown. It is my hope that in some small way together we have achieved this goal. My love for Washington has always been paramount in my life, and I would just like to thank the WHDA and its board for giving me this opportunity. I will remain on the Board of Directors of the WHDA for the foreseeable future and thank the board for allowing me to do this.
I would like to thank all the residents, businesses and corporate sponsors for being so supportive over the last 18 months. I would ask them to continue to support the efforts of the WHDA moving forward.
The efforts of the WHDA in promoting the Harbor District Market in the central business district is an exciting adventure. It’s something that will greatly enhance our downtown and promote the growing field of agribusiness. I am sure the residents of Washington will support this effort as you have the WHDA in the last 18 months.
Please let me know if I can ever be of assistance to any of you or the central business district. I will happily be an ambassador for my hometown and try to promote Washington in every area.
Please, for the last time let me say, always shop, dine and play in beautiful Washington.
Thank you and love ya!
