One suspect is still at large after a Friday night home invasion in Washington.
Authorities responded to the home invasion at 9:38 p.m. Friday, and the caller said three armed men wearing masks broke into the Buck Road Extension home and demanded money, according to a press release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspects fled the scene, but the caller’s husband and brother followed the getaway car until authorities took over the pursuit.
“While being pursued, the suspects began shooting at the victims, striking their vehicle several times. Deputies with the Patrol Division responded and attempted to intercept the suspect vehicle,” the press release states. None of the victims were injured.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested 17-year-old Tykeis Dashawn Blount after a short chase on foot, and arrested 18-year-old Jaylen Dontrelle Gilmore in the Cook Out parking lot off of Carolina Avenue. Law enforcement recovered a firearm upon Gilmore’s arrest.
Infiniti Allure Harris, 19, was also arrested in connection with the home invasion after being found in the suspect vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.
The three suspects were each charged with first-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle. Gilmore was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon and resisting an officer.
