Expo an opportunity for all involved

Washington-Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce and Beaufort County Community College’s annual Business Expo is fast approaching.
Slated for Sept. 27, the event is for any local business that would like to register for a booth, and offers a way for that business to get the word out about what it does in the community.
Last year’s Business Expo featured about 30 businesses and organizations, and the public was invited to drop by BCCC’s Building 10 during a three-hour period. Participants ranged from health care providers to catering services, news media groups and insurance companies.
Perhaps the most important aspect of this event is the potential benefits to residents — those who come out to walk through the booths.
By taking just 30 minutes out of one’s day, a resident can learn about all of the opportunities available in Beaufort County and the extensive list of resources right here at home.
This area is chock full of longtime businesses, but it also has its fair share of budding start-ups. Those businesses, as well as a slew of organizations, add a lot to the fabric of this area. It’s always important to learn more about the surrounding community, and the expo is an easy way to do just that.
Don’t wait. Be a part of this event — either sign up for a booth or mark the date on the calendar. It is free for and open to the public. Representatives from the Washington Daily News will be there, and we’d love to meet more of our readers face to face.
