Introduced by club President Ron Buzzeo, Debra Torrence, a (noon) Rotary member, executive director of Arts of the Pamlico and past Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship recipient, shared her experience as a Rotary scholar. Torrence received a Rotary scholarship to study Sweden’s renowned early childhood system and encouraged the club to invest in our community’s youngest and the teachers who support the critical period of early development in child care programs across the county.
Washington (noon) Rotary recently provided scholarships to five students to support their study at North Carolina colleges and universities. Rotary clubs offer scholarships for secondary, undergraduate or graduate study. These scholarships are given by individual clubs and are open to anyone except Rotary members and their families. Contact your local club for application information and eligibility requirements.
Washington (noon) Rotary consists of volunteers within Beaufort County, dedicating their efforts to charitable causes both locally and those to which its parent organization subscribes.
