Published 2:35 pm Friday, October 13, 2017
During the month of October reduced adoption rates for dogs and puppies at the Beaufort County Shelter will be in effect. For more information, contact shelter staff in person at the shelter, call 252-946-4517 or email to animal.control@co.beaufort.nc.us.
Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.
All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To see more animals available for adoption, visit www.petango.com/beaufortcountyNC, visit ENC Shelter Dogs, ENC Shelter Cats and Washington Cat Rescue on Facebook or call 252-946-4517 for more information. The Humane Society of Beaufort County can also be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/BeaufortCountyNCHumaneSociety.
Requests for more information with regard to the animals appearing in Pets of the Week may be directed to shelter staff in person at the shelter during business hours or by emailing animal.control@co.beaufort.nc.us — always use the animal’s ID number.
Sam
Handsome in his American shorthair coat, this tabby fellow is perfection in deep and pale orange stripes; pristine white shows on his bib, facial features and feet. Approximately 1-year-old Sam — with huge, captivating eyes and a rosebud nose — is friendly, attentive and likes to be held. When given the love, warmth and stability of a good forever home, he will blossom into a devoted friend, pet and companion. Johnny
At approximately 2 years old, this medium-size, American pit bull, terrier-mix is friendly, playful and happy. With a trim physique, he wears his jet-black shorthair coat with white accents handsomely. Smart, attentive and active, he deserves a good, loving forever home, and he will do best with owner(s) willing to give him attention, care, lots of exercise in a fenced area or on leash, and basic obedience training. For video, please visit www.facebook.com/EncShelterDogs and click on the appropriate links. Johnny’s ID is No. 1730.
Come spend a sometime with this fine dog, he’s available through next Saturday at the shelter.
