The Beaufort County Community College Foundation is proud to announce the following recipients of scholarships through the BCCC Foundation for the fall 2017 semester.

India Allen has received the Irwin & Frances Hulbert Scholarship. Allen, 31, is the daughter of Joseph and Brenda Richard of Washington, the wife of Tarae Allen and a mother of two. She is part of the licensed practical nursing program. The Washington resident attended Washington High School, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy. She currently works at Physicians East as a clinical assistant.

Denise Bolafka has received the Ruth Scoble Scholarship. Bolafka, 61, is the wife of Michael Bolafka and a mother of three. She is working on an associate degree, and she plans to transfer to East Carolina University to get a bachelor’s degree with the intention of becoming a special education teacher. The Washington resident attended Rio Linda High School. She currently works at BCCC through the work-study program.

Ethan Cosentino has received the James Franklin & Hannah Roberson Bagwell Scholarship. Cosentino, 18, is the son of Paul and Melanie Cosentino. He is working on his degree in agribusiness technology. The Washington resident attended Northside High School.

Daniel “Reid” Crouch has received the FFA Agribusiness Technology Scholarship, Reid Sasnett Scholarship, Archbell/Wilkinson Scholarship and Tideland EMC Scholarship. Crouch, 18, is the son of William and Tadge Jefferson. He is working on a degree in agribusiness technology. The Beaufort County resident attended Pungo Christian Academy. He currently works at the R&S 66 Service Center.

David Jimenez has received the Tayloe’s Hospital Pharmacy Medical Scholarship. Jimenez, 45, is the son of the late Amanda Mimbela and Lupe Jimenez. He is working toward an associate degree in nursing and is planning to continue on to get bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing. The Washington resident attended Bryan High School in Bryan, Texas. He currently works at Vidant Medical Center (2East-Family Medicine) as a care partner.

Ivonmarie Munoz has received the Tayloe’s Hospital Pharmacy Medical Scholarship. Munoz, 24, is working on her associate degree in nursing. The Washington resident attended Washington High School, and she plans to work as a registered nurse. She currently works at Spring Arbor of Greenville Assisted Living.

Davis Reason has received the Robert E. Farrish Scholarship. Reason, 17, is the son of Rex Reason of Williamston and Paige Davis of Greenville. He is working on his associate degree and is planning to become a business teacher. The Williamston resident attended Riverside High School. He currently works at Hickory Hollow Pool as a lifeguard.

Darian Stoica has received the Harold & Louise Lane Scholarship and the Woodmen Life 623 Scholarship. Stoica, 21, is the daughter of Mindy and Alex Stoica of Greenville. She is working on a degree in medical office administration, and she plans to work as a medical coder. The Grimesland resident attended D.H. Conley High School. She currently works at BCCC in admissions through the work-study program.

Chelsea Tuck has received the Soule United Methodist Church Scholarship. Tuck, 18, is the daughter of Teresa Tuck of Swan Quarter. She is working on an associate degree, and she plans to continue in the radiology program at Pitt Community College. The Swan Quarter resident attended Pungo Christian Academy. She currently works at Hwy 55 as a server.
