Last stop on Market Street

ON THE WALL: Mary Martin Moore’s kindergarten class found another feature from CJ’s travels on Market Street: graffiti.

Kindergartners at Eastern Elementary took a trip down Market Street last week as part of extension activity from a book they read in class, “Last Stop on Market Street.” Four classes loaded up on buses to embark on a trip that gave them personal connection to the book — identifying places traveled by CJ, the main character of the book.

ON THE ROAD: Terriah Knight and Scarlett Resendez, kindergartners in Katie Welch’s class, enjoyed their Market Street trip.

BUS STOP: Cherie Boyd’s kindergarten class takes a break at one of the location featured in the book — a church.

HOP ABOARD: Children in Mary Martin Moore’s kindergarten class prepare to board the bus that will take them on a Market Street adventure.
