BATH — On Oct. 28, at 10 a.m., at the newly finished park behind Blackbeard’s Slices and Ices, there will be a historic marker dedication. The marker is being presented by the Society of American Colonists. The marker recognizes Bath as the first port and Mr. Thomas Harding, who was the first recorded shipbuilder in the colony. The new park was created by the Historic Bath Foundation for the Town of Bath to have as a fishing and family area. The park will eventually have a play area for kids and will be a great addition to the town of Bath.
