On a recent evening, S.W. Snowden held a Power Up Night for the parents. The occasion included a dinner of hotdogs and hamburgers (prepared by Marvin Rattler and coach Whitley), a movie for the students and several presentations by the teachers for the parents.

These presentations included Wit and Wisdom (the language arts curriculum led by Renee Smith), Engage New York (the math curriculum led by Julie Rattler), Class Dojo (led by Judy Cleary), Parent Portal (led by Frank Rice), and iReady and SPLASH (led by Chanaay Moore). Approximately 55 families came for the event. The parents felt as though they are more informed about their children’s curriculum, and the students enjoyed their Batman LEGO movie. It was an overall successful and fun evening.
