Howard Douglas Cox

Howard Douglas Cox, age 95, a former resident of Washington, died Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Naples, Florida. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington, officiated by Travis Boyd.

Mr. Cox was born April 28, 1922 in Martin County, the son of the late Herman David Cox and Sophronia Oakley Cox. He married Elinor Bassett on June 25, 1945 who preceded him in death March 16, 2013.

Mr. Cox is survived by three nieces: Linda Alligood, Wendy Cox and Wanda Woolard, all of Washington, and nephew: David Cox of Florida.
