Congratulations to Jamie Bradsher, a third-grade teacher at John Cotten Tayloe, for being named an “outstanding elementary math teacher” by the North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics. NCCTM held its 47th-annual State Mathematics Conference in Greensboro last week. Bradsher is a native of Greensboro, but moved to Washington in 2005.
“Teaching is by far the most rewarding job in the world. I believe that school should be a place where children learn, feel safe and enjoy. I try to make learning as fun and exciting as I can,” Bradsher wrote on his school webpage.
