First Bank is pleased to announce that Janet Berry Woolard has been elected as a member of its local Beaufort County advisory board. She is a co-owner of both

Woolard’s Automotive and Ready Hire Staffing.

“We are delighted Janet will be joining our First Bank Advisory Board,” said G. William Taylor III, First Bank area executive and senior vice president. “As a Beaufort County native, she clearly understands the needs of our down east communities. Her deep experience in human resources and ownership of two successful, local business operations qualifies Janet as an excellent choice for this advisory role. She will be a valuable resource for First Bank as we continue to grow and serve this fine community.”

Woolard graduated from Washington High in 1992 and East Carolina University in 1995, where she earned, with honors, a degree in human resources. She was employed at a local community bank in human resource management before leaving to help run the family business. Woolard lives in Washington with her husband, Michael Woolard, and their two children.
