Aurora man faces drug, probation violation charges

On Dec. 8, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit and probation officers with North Carolina Department of Public Safety arrested Thomas Monroe Gaynor, 33, of 409 Idalia Road, Aurora. Gaynor was charged with three counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and three counts of possess of drug paraphernalia.
Gaynor’s arrest stemmed from investigators making purchases of cocaine from Gaynor while Gaynor was on probation for prior drug charges. Investigators and probation officers responded to Gaynor’s residence and conducted a search. Investigators and probation officers found cocaine packed for resale and packaging material.
Gaynor was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond.
Felony possession charges for Washington man

On Dec. 7, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Bruce Tyrell Scott, 33, of 577 Cherry Run Road, Washington. Scott was charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Scott’s arrest stemmed from investigators conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle that was being used to sell and deliver cocaine. Investigators searched the vehicle and found a plastic bag containing cocaine and a plastic bag containing marijuana.
Scott was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.
