NORTH POLE, SOUTHERN STYLE: Hundreds of visitors lined up Saturday for a visit with Santa on the porch of the River Road home of Barbie and Tommy Alligood. A 22-year tradition, the Alligoods host the annual party as a gift to the community. Children tell Santa what’s on their wish list and walk away with a bag of candy from Mrs. Claus. The event also serves as a fundraiser for J and J’s Homeless Pet Rescue.
