SCHOOL PROJECT: Members of East Carolina University’s School of Social Work class of 2018 recently delivered the school supplies, tissues, hand sanitizer, clothing, jackets and shoes donated to children in need at Chocowinity Middle School. The effort was part of group project in identifying social issues. “There are those of us on the team, which know what it means to be hard working parents, and still having needs outside of the every-month bills. In addition, everyone in the group can recall what being in middle school was like, joined with the issues of not having, trying to fit in and everyday being an emotional rollercoaster because of adolescence.
