BRANDY BASNIGHT MANN, acting director of the Department of Social Services, is Tyrrell County’s Employee of the Year. County Manager David Clegg lauded her “ability to react to circumstances, resilience, and devotion to the county and its citizens.”  Leroy Spivey (right), chairman of the board of commissioners, presented the plaque to Mann during a board meeting on December 5.
