CHOCOWINITY — First Baptist Church Chocowinity will host a gospel music concert featuring the Men of Faith on Jan. 21 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. The Southern gospel quartet composed of Spencer Owens, Grant Barker, Jeff Barker and Prentice Tyndall have played venues across the southeastern United States, including the Ayden Collard Festival and the Family Gospel Fest in Washington’s own Festival Park. The group has released four albums since 2001.

Mollie McGhee, a long-time fan of the group and member of the music committee at First Baptist Church Chocowinity, said that she hopes to “pack the church out” and encourages all members of the community to attend the concert.

“In the future, we will be trying to host a concert once every other month, usually on a Sunday,” McGhee said. “I encourage anyone who wants to, to come out. The Men of Faith are a great group and we will always try to get great groups for everyone to come and see.”

Men of Faith’s performance will take place in the church’s Family Life Center and will be followed by a meet and greet with the quartet. Parking is available on all sides of the church at 110 N. Eden Drive.

The free concert is open to the public.
