Boys & Girls Club of the Coastal Plain announces new president/CEO

WINTERVILLE — Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is happy to announce the selection of its new president and CEO, Kimberly Boyd, effective March 1. Boyd has nearly 30 years of experience in youth development and quality programming. Her background in community engagement and resource development align perfectly with the organization. She is a devoted and passionate advocate for kids and their well-being.

Boyd is a graduate of Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a proven leader through her history of working with nonprofits and underprivileged youth, including time previously spent with Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Jill Camnitz, corporate board chair for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain said, “Kimberly Boyd is the dynamic leader we’ve been looking for to guide our merged organization. We believe that she will lead our organization to a higher level of excellence and impact, making a difference in the lives of the kids who need us most.”

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is grateful to interim President and CEO Kirk Dominick, who served for eight months while the search took place.

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. There are 17 clubs throughout Pitt, Beaufort, Lenoir, Martin, Greene, Carteret and Craven counties serving approximately 1,300 members daily and 3,600 annually.
