Mrs. Christine Duncan Oesterreich, age 46, a resident of Washington, passed away suddenly on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018. A celebration of Christine’s life will be held 11 a.m. today at Bath Christian Church, Bath, with Pastor Jim Cullen officiating. A visitation will follow the service.

She was born in Winston-Salem on March 19, 1971, to the late Gary Neil Duncan and Jeannette Willis Duncan. She was a 1989 graduate of Bath High School. Christy was a very special, bright woman who loved life and all its wonders. She never met a stranger. She was a devoted mother and beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her mother, Jeannette Duncan, of Washington; daughter, Macie Leighty Oesterreich, of Washington; sister, Carol Duncan; and brother, Neil Duncan, both of Washington; niece Shelley Duncan and nephew Cole Duncan, both of Washington; and many beloved family members in Nashville, Tennessee.
