2018 Northeastern North Carolina Craft Workshop

Registration for the 2018 Northeastern North Carolina Craft Workshop began on February 6, 2018 and will be accepted on a “first come, first serve” basis until the April 2, 2018 deadline. Registration forms and class information can be requested from Dee Furlough at the Tyrrell County Cooperative Extension Center, located at 407 Martha Street in Columbia, dee_furlough@ncsu.edu or by calling 796-1581.
The registration fee is $10.00 per day. All registrations are non-refundable, but transferable, and must be received by the April 2, 2018 deadline. Class kit fees vary depending on class selection. The workshop is designed and open to everyone and anyone interested in learning a craft – whether hobbyist, adult or youth groups, craft teachers or small businessperson.
The 2018 Workshop will be held on Tuesday, May 8th and Wednesday, May 9th at the Vernon G. James Research & Extension Center located at the Tidewater Research Station on NC Highway 32 in Plymouth, NC. Hours are 9:30 am to 4:00 pm daily. Craft classes are as follows:
Decoy Carving and Painting; Painting in Acrylic; Seagrass Stools; Silver Jewelry; Sterling Silver Wrapped Jewelry; Fishing Fly Tying; Painting with Alcohol Ink; Painting with Watercolor; Silk Scarf Dyeing; Media Basket; Looped Shell Necklace Basket; Bead Weaving; Copper Enamel Jewelry; Copper Enamel Ornament; Beginner Crochet; Polymer Clay/Fairy Garden; Quilting and Yo-Yo Quilt.
