EDWINA LABONTE RECENTLY DONATED A FENDER and a Girard guitar to the Columbia High/Middle School String Club. Receiving the Fender is club member Taliyah Norman a junior (left). The 15 club members practice before and after school, during breakfast and lunch, and during a class break. “They teach and encourage each other,” says club adviser Carol Lee. And they would welcome more guitars for students to check out for a semester.
