HONORING THE LEADERS: During the month of February, students and staff at Beaufort County’s Educational Technical Center honored those before us who worked tirelessly to deconstruct the walls of racial imbalance and inequality. From Carter Godwin Woodson to Rebecca Lee Crumpler, we relished the opportunity to recognize and honor the forerunners of diversity through daily readings by our students. As educators, it is important to each of us that students recognize and appreciate the leaders of the Civil Rights movement, but as important, we have encouraged our students to further their education and work towards strengthening the bond of equality in our great nation.
