DAVID LOOPE (center) was inaugurated as the sixth president of Beaufort County Community College on March 23. Attending the ceremony was Jennifer Haygood (right), president of the North Carolina Community College System, and David Clegg (left), Tyrrell County Manager and a trustee of the BCCC Foundation. Dr. Loope was previously a vice president and professor at Reynolds Community College in Richmond, Virginia. He holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education from The College of William and Mary, a Master of Arts in English from Wake Forest University and a Bachelors of Arts in English from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. His wife Charlene is a native of Camden County.
