If you are able to find them, River Otters are fun to watch. They gallop, glide, roll and swim. On Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge, otters are most frequently seen in and along the refuge canals. North American River Otters feed on crayfish, fish, turtles and other aquatic prey. Their whiskers are sensitive enough to help them locate food even in murky water.
