PLYMOUTH — Robert Thomas Mizell, 81, of Plymouth died on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

Born October 13, 1936 in Beaufort County he was the son of the late Loyd Tilmon Mizell and Mildred Carrow Mizell and was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest Mizell and Linwood Mizell. Mr. Mizell retired as an LP Technician with Eastern Fuels and D.S. Swain Company, was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Christian Hope Church of Christ.

His family includes his wife, Peggy Logan Mizell of Plymouth, N.C.; sons, Robert Anthony Mizell and Carolyn Gooch of Plymouth, N.C. and Randy Carroll Mizell and wife Christel Gifford of Virginia Beach, VA.; sister, Ellen Belch of Winterville, N.C.; brothers, Joseph Mizell of Voliva, MO., Johnny Mizell and Jimmy Mizell of Plymouth, N.C.; grandchildren, Justin Tyler Mizell and fiancée Ali and Kacie Mizell and fiancée Wesley, Zachary Carroll and Nicholas Carroll; great grandchildren, Addyson, Wesley and Parker.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Christian Hope Church of Christ, Plymouth with Reggie Braziel officiating. Burial will follow in Windley Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Christian Hope Church of Christ and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christian Hope Church of Christ Benevolent Fund.
