Tyrrell 4-H livestock show and sale April 18

The 69th annual Tyrrell County 4-H Livestock Show and Sale will be held in Tyrrell Hall on April 18, beginning at 2 p.m.
Dinner will be served 4-6:30 p.m., plates prepared by Topside Catering and priced at $8 including tea.
The sale begins at 7 p.m.
The show and sale will feature hogs, lambs and goats raised and exhibited by Tyrrell County 4-H Club members.
A silent auction will be held to raise funds to maintain the 4-H livestock program in Tyrrell County. Donors include Columbia Crossing Restaurant, Tractor Supply, Elements Cafe, Vineyards on the Scuppernong, Plum Pony Boutique, Atlantic Building Supply,
Cuttin’ Up Hair Salon/Pampered Paws, and Armstrong and Son.
Columbia Mayor James Cahoon is scheduled to make opening remarks at 2 p.m., and Leroy Spivey, chairman of the county board of commissioners, will speak briefly at 7 p.m.
Tyrrell Hall is at 906 Scuppernong Drive in Columbia.
