The rear (parking lot) door of the Tyrrell County Public Library on Main Street will no longer be available for general patron use effective April 18, Jared Jacavone, county librarian, announced.

Reason for the closure is for safety compliance, he stated.

Patrons with mobility restrictions are encouraged to call ahead (252-796-3771) to request that a staff member meet them at the back door to provide access.

“We request that all other patrons use the front entrance of the library during our regular business hours,” Jacavone said. “If you have any questions or concerns, please call the front desk.”
