Fowle-Alligood wedding

Mary Margaret Fowle and Thomas Whitney Alligood were married on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 6:00 in the evening at First Presbyterian Church in Washington. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend William Lee Kinney.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Marshall Fowle of Washington. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry F. Bienes and Mrs. Samuel R. Fowle, III of Washington and the late Mr. Samuel R. Fowle III and Mr. Colon W. McLean Jr. The bride graduated from East Carolina University and is employed with Russell Property Management in Greenville, NC.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Alligood, Jr. of Washington. He is the grandson of Mrs. William M. Alligood of Washington and the late Mr. William M. Alligood and Mr. and Mrs. Donald T. Whitney. The groom graduated from North Carolina State University and is employed with Nutrien in Aurora, NC.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a strapless sweetheart mermaid gown featuring all over soft lace details, a dropped waistline and a chapel length train. Her hand-tied bouquet consisted of white hydrangeas, peonies and roses.
Mrs. Jenny Fowle, the bride’s sister in-law served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessie Bryson, Casey Bryson, Celia Foushee, Elizabeth Fowle, cousin of the bride, Danielle Hunt and Katherine Stroud.
Mr. William M. Alligood, Jr, father of the groom was the best man. Groomsmen were William M. Alligood, III, brother of the groom, Matt Dillard, Marshall Fowle, Ted Hodges, Alex Hunt and Keenan O’Brien. Master William M. Alligood IV, nephew of the groom was ring bearer.
Ushers were Peter Miars, JD Robinson, Zack Swanner and Will Whitley.
The wedding was directed by Mrs. Karen Peck and Mrs. Leslie Speros and the program attendant was Miss Abby Jarvis.
A reception hosted by the parents of the bride was held at the Washington Yacht and Country Club. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Turnage Theater in downtown Washington.
Following a honeymoon in Barbados, the couple will reside in Greenville, NC.
