Walter R. “Jack” Williamson

Jack Williamson passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 26, 2018. He was a longtime resident of Washington who was loved by all and will be greatly missed. His greatest loves outside of his grandchildren were eating at the Golden Corral, hunting, fishing and simply sitting in his deer stand.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Second Baptist Church in Washington, with Pastor John Koch officiating. Burial will follow in Robersonville Cemetery.

Jack was born in Pitt County on March 19, 1934, to the late Frank Edwards and Josephine Williamson. He was loved and raised by his grandmother, Ms. Amanda Williamson. Jack was employed for many years at local factories and Vidant Beaufort Hospital until his retirement doing mainly maintenance and boiler room work.

He is survived by his daughter, Diana W. Harrington (J.P.), his granddaughter, Leeloo, and grandson, Parker, all of Easton, Maryland, numerous brothers and sisters, a sister-in-law, Paula, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Sally, he is predeceased by an infant son, James Walter, a son, Jerry Williamson, and numerous brothers and sisters.
