As part of the search process for a new superintendent, the Tyrrell County Board of Education invites parents and community members to share the characteristics they desire most in the next Tyrrell County Schools superintendent.
Board chairman Lee Scripture said, “We invite the Tyrrell County community to take a few minutes to complete the survey available by clicking one of the following links: English: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XBXHTH5. Spanish: https://es.surveymonkey.com/r/8WCV36P.”
The links can also be found on the school system webpage: http://www.tyrrell.k12.nc.us/
Paper copies of the survey are available in the main office at 1107 Hwy 64 East, Columbia. Completed paper surveys should be returned to Endia Yancey at the main office. Spanish language versions are also available.
All surveys must be completed by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 28.
The board has selected the North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA) to help facilitate its search for the next superintendent.
Survey results to be compiled, summarized, and presented by NCSBA at the regular board meeting on Monday, June 4.
In addition, all employees of the Tyrrell County Schools will have an opportunity to complete a separate online staff survey. Details about completing the employee version of the search survey will be communicated via school system email.
