CECHS seniors receive college honors

Columbia Early College High School students Kevin Norman, Elizabeth Price and Cameron Reynolds on May 2 were recognized by Beaufort County Community College for academic excellence.
Price earned Summa Cum Laude for achieving a perfect 4.0 grade point average (GPA).
Both Norman and Reynolds earned Magna Cum Laude for having GPA’s
between 3.8- 3.999.
On May 11, Athena Cooper, Norman, Price, Reynolds and Elizabeth Suter will graduate from BCCC with their Associate’s degree.
“This is an impressive achievement that was accomplished through hard work and perseverance,” commented Dr. Will Hoffman, superintendent of Tyrrell County Schools.
After graduation Cooper will be attending East Carolina University majoring in English Secondary Education. Norman will continue his education at College of the Albemarle majoring in nursing. Price will be attending University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and major in psychology. Reynolds will be attending North Carolina State University majoring in Computer Science. And Suter will be attending ECU majoring in Business while simultaneously completing perquisites for Pharmacy School.
