Looking downstream on the Scuppernong River from the Spruill’s Bridge boat ramp at Creswell, 16 miles above Columbia and 21 miles from Albemarle Sound. Nearby are the mouths of Thirty Foot, Somerset and Bee Tree canals that drain the vast farms north of Lake Phelps.
