HIGHEST HONORS: Gray Wingate Lewis was recently awarded the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Lewis is a member of Troop 258 of Bath. The Eagle Scout award is the highest rank to be achieved by a Scout.  In order to earn the rank of Eagle Scout a Scout has to show leadership skills and complete a project that benefits the local community. Lewis’s project was the painting and restoration of the Carrow House in Historic Bath. During the process, Lewis learned that his great-great-grandmother was born in that very house.  He is the son of Lynn and Dale Davis and the late Greg Lewis. He is the grandson of Alice and Leon Wingate and Mary and James Lewis. Lewis is a graduate of Northside High School and is an incoming freshman at East Carolina University.
