North Boundary Canal dredging project

Ty Fleming, soil and water conservation district administrator, told Columbia aldermen recently that a federal grant will pay for dredging North Boundary Canal. Environmental regulators denied application for eight-foot project depth dredging and approved only depths of three to five feet to the Scuppernong River to remove hurricane spoil. No start date was set.
