Let’s do the Time Warp again

Published 6:47 pm Thursday, September 6, 2018

The Rocky Horror Picture Show returns to the Turnage Theatre tonight at 9 p.m. This is the fourth year the audience-participation driven movie has been shown at the historic theatre. The movie brings a fun, spirited group of patrons together to enjoy the cult classic.

The movie, based on a stage play by Richard O’Brien, first arrived in theatres in 1975 and achieved little success. It was the fans, and midnight runs of the film in the late 1970s, that gave the movie its afterlife and over 40-year run to become the cultural phenomenon it is. With Rocky Horror, it becomes a question of not, “Have you seen the film?” but “How many times have you seen the film?”

The first 50 people will receive goodie bags at no charge. Tickets are $15 cash or check and $17 with a credit card.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. for mingling, pictures and fun. Beer, wine and yummy concessions will be for sale until the movie starts at 9 p.m.

Join the Transylvanians at the historic Turnage Theatre this Friday! Corsets are optional but welcomed as we will “Time Warp” once again! Remember it’s just a jump to the left …
