The City of Washington has made sand available for residents to fill up sand bags. The sand was staged at the baseball fields located at Third and Plymouth Streets, as of Tuesday afternoon. Residents are asked to bring their sand bags and a means of filling them to this location. This will be available on a first come first serve basis. Empty bags can be purchased from HES, located on Third Street or from Lowes in Washington on Aisle 18, beside the cinder blocks.
