According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, two additional roadways have become impassable due to storm surge and heavy rains and have been closed:

• Pamlico Beach Road (State Road 1725) east of Bath near South Savannah Road (State Road 1722) has been closed in both directions.
• U.S. 264 west of Swan Quarter near Rose Bay Loop (State Road 1138) has been closed in both directions.
