With the river swollen into the Jack’s Creek basin to the east of Market Street and areas between Respess and Carolina Avenue flooded as to the west, the majority of Washington is currently inaccessible. Flooding in low-lying areas in the vicinity of Sixth and Seventh streets on Market Street have prompted road closures and water rescues are currently underway.
