Grateful for the heroes who provided aid

Thank you.

Thank you to all those that helped as Hurricane Florence battered the region with rain and wind, leaving thousands without power and forcing people to evacuate their homes due to flooding.

Thank you to the brave rescue teams that risked their lives to save people who were stranded in flooded areas. As most were seeking protection from the storm, these heroes went headfirst into danger.

Thank you to the all the first responders and emergency management services employees, who worked tirelessly these last several days providing assistance to those that needed it and ensuring the proper plans were in place and shelters were well supplied.

Thank you to the organizations, such as The American Red Cross, The Salvation Army and Eagle’s Wings Food Pantry, that have provided supplies, such as food and water, to all the those that were in need.

Thank you to the volunteers who helped staff shelters and all those that provided donations for the victims of Hurricane Florence.

Hurricane Florence caused destruction all through the Carolinas, but things would’ve been even worse without the actions of all those that helped. But as the storm has passed and recovery efforts are kicking into high gear, help is still needed to rebuild.

We need to come together as a community and exhibit the same supportive, selfless nature displayed by the best of us whose actions were so helpful.
