Collecting for the homeless

Another Thanksgiving holiday comes with the success of giving!
This year of giving to what God said, “When you give to the least of my brothers and sisters, you have done it to me.” This Thanksgiving holiday, there has been an outpouring of kindness by local businesses, individuals and civic organizations.
There is a TV show called “The Have and Have Not.” It’s a TV show, but in real life, there are people who do not know where their next meal is coming from, or where they will lay their heads down to sleep. I am thankful that God gave me back my son after his accident, and he blessed me in my spirit to continue these holiday fundraisers each year.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are the holidays that some people may have joy in their hearts and some may have sadness for whatever reasons. My mission is to continue these holiday fundraisers until God gives me another assignment because I told Him that I will try to serve Him better for not ending my son’s life.
I would like to thank each and every one for your generous donations, even for the words of encouragement. Thank you, for all the Thanksgiving turkeys and hams. Now you will see me by the Piggly Wiggly on River Road with my Spin the Wheel Deal on some evenings after 5 p.m. Come out, and let’s have some fun and raise some money for Christmas turkeys and hams for the homeless shelter. You never know who could be homeless in the days, months and years to come.
