Charles Autry Woolard

Mr. Charles Autry Woolard, age 77, a resident of 1748 Terrapin Track Road, Washington, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at his home.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at Everett’s Church of Christ, conducted by Dennis R. Davis. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens, Washington.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Mark Woolard, James Everett, Bobby Wallace, Paul Boyd, Ernie Everett, Julian Cutler and Horace Waters. Honorary pallbearers will be Fernie Oliver, Mary Linda Batchlor, Nelda Ormond and Dianna Boyd.
Mr. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on Jan. 20, 1941. He was the son of the late Charlie Milton Woolard and Beulah Woolard Woolard. Mr. Woolard graduated from Bath High School in 1959. He worked in part sales for Beaufort Equipment Company, retiring in 1992. Later, Mr. Woolard operated Sugar Blossom Florist and Things. He was a member of Everett’s Church of Christ.
On Dec. 23, 1962, Mr. Woolard married the former Mavis Lee Hardy, who survives.
Surviving with his wife are daughter Beulah Leigh Auborn and her husband, Steve, of Washington, granddaughter Alburnie (Abbie) Overlease and husband Olin Overlease, of Queensbury, New York, with their children, Erika, Emerick and Viktoria June; daughter Misty Lynn Taylor and husband, Will Taylor, of Washington, with their children, William, Ryan, Rubi, Summer, Bella and Noah Taylor of Washington.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.
