Jordan Davis was appointed Jan. 8 to represent Tyrrell County on the Albemarle Commission and the Northeastern Workforce Development Consortium, succeeding Leroy Spivey in both offices. Davis was sworn in on Dec. 3 as a Tyrrell commissioner, 48 years after his grandfather, Dan Davis, began his first term on the county’s governing board.
