The Richland Seniors met March 5 with President Ann Cayton opening the meeting, Kay Austin gave the devotion, followed by the Lord’s Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Maya Mayo called the roll and read the minutes from the last meeting, and treasurer Annette Smith gave the treasurer’s report.
After business was discussed, Alice Briley discussed the plan to have an overnight trip to Myrtle Beach at the end of September for a seafood dinner and a show at the Alabama Theatre and shopping at the outlets. A lot of interest was shown and will be open to anyone wanting to go. The bus will pick up in Aurora, Washington and New Bern malls. If interested, call Alice Briley at 252-635-8517.
Our speaker for the day was Maria Yost from Vidant Beaufort Hospital’s rehab center. She gave a very interesting presentation.
Our club made a donation to the Lions Club Bingo game on Saturday night, and several members attended the game.
The meeting was dismissed. James Parker blessed the food and fellowship was enjoyed by all.
